History

 

The MTEF was formed by a steering committee of educators, parents, and community/business members who recognized the need for a charitable foundation that could draw in new resources and support for our school district.

 

Officially incorporated in late 2006 as a 501(c)(3) tax exempt charitable organization, the MTEF Board of Directors began work in 2007 and made their first donation to the school district—$7,000 for technology equipment—in 2008/9.  Since then, we have provided over $514,000 in grants and scholarships for our students.

  • Donated $25,000 toward WiFi Manchester Project\

  • Awarded $15,500 in Scholarships to 2013 graduates of MTHS

  • Awarded $9,000 in Classroom Mini-Grants

  • NicksMile of Quarters raised $17,000 for our Cpl. Nicolas Ott Memorial Fund.

  • Our 5th Annual Golf Outing raised nearly $20,000

 

2011-2012
  • Awarded $13,500 in Scholarships to 2012 graduates of MTHS

  • Awarded over $4,500 in Classroom Mini-Grants.

  • Donated $1,500 towards Challenge Day anti-bullying program at MTHS.

  • Our 4th Annual Golf Outing raised $19,000.
     

2010-2011
  • Awarded over $4,400 in Mini-Grants.

  • Donated $5,970 in technology equipment

  • Awarded $11,500 in Scholarships to 2011 graduates of MTHS.

  • Sponsored MTHS students to attend county Art Enrichment program and Woodrow Wilson

  • Public Affairs Forum at Princeton.

  • Our 3rd Annual Golf Outing raised over $15,000.

2009-2010
  • Awarded $11,500 in Scholarships to 2010 graduates of MTHS.

  • Awarded over $3,000 in Mini-Grants in May 2010.

  • Our 2nd Annual Golf Outing raised over $13,000.

  • Sponsored MTHS students to attend Woodrow Wilson Public Policy Forum at Princeton.
    

2008-2009
  • Donated $7,000 for technology equipment throughout the district.

  • Awarded our first scholarships ($11,000) to members of the MTHS Class of 2009.

  • Sponsored MTHS students to attend  Westminster Theater Workshop.

  • Our First Annual Golf Outing raised over $6,000.
