MTEF awarded $32,500 in grants at our 10th Annual Golf Outing on June 25, 2018. MTEF President Jeff DeSimone presented $15,000 each to Whiting Elementary School and Manchester Township Elementary to be used to create new STEAM labs (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math). Ridgeway School, recipient of last year’s MTEF STEAM grant, impressed our MTEF Board so much with their project that we asked them to help the other elementary schools to duplicate it. In return, we awarded Ridgeway an additional $2,500 to add new items to their lab this year.
MTEF has distributed over $150,000 in school and classroom grants to Manchester Schools. In 2017, we funded the Ridgeway STEAM Lab ($15K) and the Middle School Genius Lab ($15K). This coming year, we hope to fund a STEAM project at the High School and a grant for Regional Day School.
